With 2016 just underway, and as I published in 2014, it is now time to take stock of 2015 with the global figures for the catalogs we distribute: Madrid en corto, OFF ECAM, and the ECAM short films.
In general terms, this year has been the best for selections, with an impressive figure of 1,707, well above the 1,445 in 2014.
To analyze the year, I like to look at the monthly evolution of selections, which also gives us an idea of the months with the highest number of festivals:
For most of the year, we have been above 100 selections, with the month of November exceeding 200. In the graph, I have also differentiated between competitive selections and parallel sections (out of competition).
At an international level, I have compiled all the selections into a graph by country; there were 799 in total:
We have participated in 65 different countries, with Italy and the United States leading the way. In addition to these figures, I have just published two individual posts on the Madrid en corto and OFF ECAM blogs.
Let’s hope that in 2016 we continue with the same level of distribution—let’s go for it!
