Recently, the nominations for the Forqué Awards, organized by EGEDA, have been announced, and this year they include short films. The rules for these awards are practically the same as for the Goya Awards, so festivals that pre-select for the Goya Awards now also do so for the Forqué Awards. Among the first nominees is OSCAR DESAFINADO, which is part of Madrid en corto 2015. The other nominees are: BIKINI, EL CORREDOR, INSIDE THE BOX, and OS MENINOS DO RIO, from a total of 46 pre-selected short films.
The awards ceremony will be held on January 11 at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, and the good news is that, unlike the Goya Awards, which do not offer a cash prize, the winner in this case will receive €3,000 for the award.
