2017 is coming to an end, a year that has seen the consolidation of the blog, both in terms of visits and subscribers. This last week of the year is a good time to take a look back, both at the most significant figures and the most-read content.
Throughout this year, I have continued to publish every week, except in September, with only two publications, and October, when I did not publish anything due to the wonderful news of the arrival of my daughter. Despite this, visits have held steady, and upon returning in November, the growth trend has continued.
This year I also published the first two posts in English about fake festivals and pseudo-festivals, and on a technical level, I have moved to a more powerful server to improve the website’s performance and security.
This is the evolution of monthly visits during 2016 and 2017:
From June to October of this year, visits have remained very stable, despite the summer and the autumn break, demonstrating the good positioning achieved, which I believe is mainly due to regularity and sharing high-value content.
In November, 7,823 visits were reached, compared to 4,583 in the same month the previous year, and we have exceeded 700 email subscribers. The list of festivals I published last week has already been downloaded more than 100 times. Currently, there are 169 articles published, and it has been more than 5 years since April 2012.
But, without a doubt, the best part has been the comments and messages of thanks from many of the followers, and seeing how it is helping directors and producers distribute their own films, as well as festival programmers and directors.
