This year we have launched a Distribution Meeting during the Community of Madrid Short Film Week, which is currently taking place. The Meeting consisted of two parts: on one hand, a Workshop, where we reviewed what distributing a short film to festivals entails: promotional materials, strategies, submission platforms, etc.; and on the other hand, a Distribution Forum featuring presentations of various projects by their representatives: Franc Planas (Promofest), Paloma Martínez (Click For Festivals), Delia Guerra (Movibeta), Alfonso Díaz (Line Up Shorts), Tania Galán (InOut Filmmakers/InOut Distribution), and Aitor Arenas (Banatu Filmak). The outcome of this first Meeting was very positive, with over 60 attendees and a networking space. Following the workshop, many requested the lists of Oscar and Goya qualifying festivals; I am providing them here for direct download:
